Team Members

At Strategic Investment Advisors we are extremely proud of our core team members.  We believe it is important that our clients establish a relationship with each of the members of their personal team.  Our managing member Mark Klopfenstein serves as the primary relationship manager and leader of his team.  In addition, Mark guides portfolio design and primary relationships with members of our professional networks and alliances.

Meet the members of the SIA team:

Mark Klopfenstein, AIF®

Mark Klopfenstein, AIF® - Mark’s core clientele are successful decision makers in business and professional practice.  His clients typically have experience with financial matters, and seek the professional guidance of a wealth manager to assist with their financial affairs.  Mark’s client process begins with an in-depth understanding of what is important to them to create investment solutions tied to their long-term goals.  His collaborative approach leads to developing advanced planning solutions coordinated with his clients and their advisors to address their unique needs.

Mark is a founding member of Strategic Investment Advisors (SIA), and he has been advising clients in the Toledo, Ohio area and in various states across the country since 1996.  Prior to establishing his wealth management practice, Mark was the Director of Physician Services for The Toledo Hospital and Flower Hospital where he served as liaison between the physicians and the hospital.  Through his experience he saw a need to provide tailored client solutions in a conflict-free manner.  This need ultimately led to his desire to form SIA in order to focus on providing fee-based solutions to his clientele.

Mark graduated magna cum laude from Cleary University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.  Having satisfied all requirements by the Center for Fiduciary Studies he has also attained the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation.  Mark has been actively involved in the community, with past experience including Corporate Treasurer/Finance Chair for the Toledo Community Oncology Program (TCOP) Board of Trustees.  He also served as Vice President and Finance Chair for the Northwest State Community College Foundation.  His business and professional experiences have contributed to providing personal perspective with established best practices.

Mark lives with his wife, Holly, and has three children.  He enjoys traveling, reading, playing golf, and spending time with his family.
